Meet My Sweet Little Boy.

At 12 days overdue I had to be induced but the labor went flawlessly and our precious baby boy is finally here.   I had a smooth 14 hour labor and pushed for only 20 minutes and he entered the world.

Audric Ronan was born Thursday January 19 @ 12:17 am weighing 7.3 lbs. and measuring 21".

My husband and I are in awe of our amazing little guy.   We've spent the last week (trying) to adjust to the lack of sleep, constant feedings, and never ending poop-y pants, etc. etc.  It's simultaneously exhausting like nothing else, exciting, nerve wracking, anxiety inducing, joyful and so on.   There truly is no way to understand parenthood until you are in it.  You think you've got it covered and it's understood....until you're in it!  Alas, we are in love and cannot imagine our life without him.

I'll slowly be transitioning back into the vintage world over the next month or so.   I just wanted to share a quick update to my awesome followers.  Talk soon!  xoxo Mommy, Daddy and Baby

(Mid Century) Modern Doll Houses

I always loved doll houses as a girl....but really, I still do.  In the 70's my first doll house was the classic Victorian wood style that you glued together.  My Mom and I spent hours and days putting it together and furnishing it.  I loved it so much.

These days I still get warm and fuzzy feelings when I see a doll house but if I ever purchased one it would be a mid-mod style.  Now that I'm preggers maybe I can justify it.  Hey, it's decor!  Right?

How cool are these designs?

Eames Inspired Rocking Chair for Momma

Ok, this is embarrassing; I'm not even pregnant yet but I'm already decorating the baby's room in my head. Actually, it's out of my head to be honest....I already have stored away some really fantastic vintage baby items for display in his/her room like a ceramic piggy bank, timmy the tiger pop up toy, wooden blocks and vintage baby books and prints.

Yes, I like planning ahead. Yes, I'm in love with all things vintage, mid century and design in general.

So......here is what I'm hoping to get to rock my little joy in when I have a baby. White or blue... I'm not decided yet.

There are so many available on Craig's List right now I kind of want to just do it. It would look cool in my house in the meantime anyway right? Come on, help me justify it!
