Frederick Arndt Mid Century Inspired Wooden Art

I was perusing Etsy and came across the incredible woodworking art of Frederick Arndt.  I had to share!

Clearly his designs are inspired by the space-agey, mod shapes of the 1950's and 1960's, yet his work still feels new and fresh, and very much his own.

From amoebas to boomerangs, and Eames dots to starbursts, any mid mod shape your heart desires can be found in these handmade wooden creations.

Here are just a few. Find more at his Etsy shop FredArndtArtworks

Minimalist Love....Danish Style

Check out my Etsy Treasury featuring some of my favorite minimal Danish style pieces.
Wish I could buy them all!

I just love how effortlessly beautiful Danish modern and Mid Century design is.
How can something so simple be so stunning, inviting and artistic at the same time?

New Vintage in My Shop!

I loaded some new things into my shop today. There are some weird, unique and cute things in this group....check out the vintage brass gorilla bookends and the kitschy basset hound planter...and the huge wooden clothesline clip! Fun stuff!

One of my recent favorite finds - the orange space age mid century tripod lamp. I also found a white beehive tripod lamp - and I'm keeping it!

Wow. Antique Wheelchair!

How cool is this? I came across this at one of my favorite thrift stores on the Central Coast of California.

I wanted to buy it just because it's so unique and old. Then reality set in and I thought, "aaaand where would this go in my house"? Plus, I could only imagine the look on my husbands face. "Really? A wheelchair". I get away with a lot but I thought this might cross that fine line. Besides, I couldn't fit it in my car. Did you catch the real reason it didn't make it back to LA with me?
