Hello All! I need help identifying these vintage chairs. Someone contacted me hoping that I might know. Sadly, I do not. Any ideas, mid century enthusiasts? I have seen chairs similar to this, only once before, but I have no idea of their origin or designer.
Any info would be appreciated!

Donald Knorr designed a round chair for Knoll that had a similar seat and opening. Roger McLay also designed a similar one that was a little more oval, and I think the plywood connected on the back, if I remember correctly, but I don't know who designed one with a squared-off back. I'll ask my SIL. He might know.
In the meantime, maybe those names will bring up images of similar chairs by other designers.
Dana, I knew you'd have some insight. You are my go-to!
I asked my SIL, the Mr. Peabody of MCM in our house, and he said Ray Komai. Yay, Joe! I had a feeling he'd know.
