Mid Century Modern Starburst Lamp

What's a very pregnant girl to do but lay around (uncomfortable) and wait for baby to come?  Oh yes, shop for lamps.  Sure, why not feed my lamp addiction?

Well, I picked up this beauty locally on Ebay with plans to put it in my shop. Buuuuuut, yep you guessed it; I got it home and could not part with it.  I refinished the wood and scrubbed the brass.    Isn't it pretty? I just love it.  It had to go front and center on my Brasilia piece in the entry way.

I scored this wall hanging lamp on Etsy a couple of months back. I'd been looking for a wall mounted mid century light for some time.  They are few and far between and typically very expensive. This was a great score!

aaaaand, I picked this one up from Etsy to replace the sort of beat up lamp I had on my side table.  Listen to me justify the lamp purchases.... ha ha

and, yep, still going, I actually picked up another lamp from Ebay but I don't know if I'm keeping it.  It was purchased just before I found the above lamp on Etsy, which I like much better.

Hey, told you I had a lamp addiction!

Happy New Year.

Nice lamps - it is really hard to stop buying them. I have the same problem, but eventually you narrow down the keepers from the ones to pass on to another lucky owner. Good luck with the baby!a

I like them all! I have a bit of a lamp obsession too. I have a few I'd like to replace with more interesting examples but I can't really part with the ones I have. Such a dilemma!

I'm totally coveting your starburst lamp. It's unbelievably beautiful. I couldn't have parted with it either.

You might as well be indulging in lamp-buying while waiting for the little guy to get here. Once he comes, lamps will be the last thing on your mind for a while. :)

I would be hard put to part with these either. They are sweet! I'm having the same conundrum with the sofa I just finished...

I have the same affliction with lamps. A good distraction while waiting, babies can be very unpredictable!

Fabulous vintage decor accessories! I have retro in my home and decorated my first vintage clothing store retro! Thanks for sharing!

I had to stop buying vintage lamps as I ran out of surface space for them! I would make an exception for the starburst lamp though, it's amazingly unique. Oddly enough I have the same hanging MCM lamp, scored it at a local thrift store a year ago.

Ha...did you get that last lamp from me on etsy? I sold it or it's sibling on etsy! Love that lamp! By the way, my husband and I have an addiction to mid century lamps/lights. We have 4 (2 sets) in a bedroom in our FL Mad Pad not even being used (although very cool...I wanted very atomic lamps which we found for the house). I have more! A small matching set with fiberglass shapes and 2 other table lamps for sale on my etsy shop! ;o)

I did get the last lamp pictured on Etsy! The starburst came from Craigslist. I have a serious lamp addiction. I can't stop!
