My 1970's French Provencial Bedroom Set is For Sale. Attention Regency Lovers!

Okay, after much deliberation I've decided to sell my beloved retro, French Provencial childhood bedroom set.  I'm still a bit wishy-washy about the decision but I can't store this until I have a daughter that might like it - that would be maybe 10 years from now.....and it doesn't go with my mid-century/danish modern home. If I had a spare bedroom to build around this, believe me, I'd keep it.

This was the set my sister and I used in the mid 70's.  I actually used it until I moved out of my parent's home for good at the age of 20.  My parents used it in their spare room until about 2 years ago, then it was passed on to me.  It's got great memories attached to it but it's time to let someone else love it.

It's a five piece set that includes a chest of drawers, detachable mirror, a tall dresser, a nightstand, and headboard.  It's a lovely light yellow with brown specks and hand painted yellow/green floral design.  The curves and claw feet are gorgeous and lend well to the Regency style. It would look INCREDIBLE painted black and white or some funky modern colors (see far below for inspiration).  Some designer somewhere will fall in love with this set.

I'm not sure how to price this complete set, plus it has sentimental value. I'd love some feedback. Dana, if you're reading this - help!

Ideas for what this could look like......

Courtesty Atomic Lilly Ranch Thanks Adriane!
I love this! This really makes me want to keep my set for my little girl someday (who has yet to be conceived by the way!)

I had a similar set when I was a kid growing up. I loved mine too.

So pretty! My daughter has the long/low dresser and I dream of some day getting more pieces of it for her. Sadly, I always seem to see pieces that are out of my price range. Your set is amazing! It's such lovely, sturdy furniture.

Oh, and here how I painted hers, just in case you want a poorly lit, badly composed photo to add to these pretty examples!

Okay I have a little girl who I have tried many times to sell her on this style for years . Which she wants nothing to with. Just a sec while I take the knife out of my heart. Now that she's 12 I can no longer ignore the roll of eyes and or the jokes between her and her friends oh look your mom changed your room again. I am having to let go and let her find her style (sigh). Oh well on to her brother,s room thankfully he has shown more interest in vintage classics. really you are doing a good thing somewhere out there is a little girl who will love your set and it will give her treasured memories.

Did you ever sell your set? If so, how much did you sell it for? I am finally going to put mine up for sale since I do not have any children and I do not know how much to ask for it.
