Thanks to shows like Mad Men, and the re-make of The Great Gatsby, the vintage clothing craze has gone wild. It's not enough to groom our homes vintage style, we too must look the part. You must admit, they had some great style! The cuts, the curves, the colors - just gorgeous. Women were feminine, sexy, sophisticated. Men were handsome, polished, dapper. Picture Don Draper or Robert Redford as Gatsby....need I say more?
It used to be a pain to find quality vintage clothing. Today, it's at our fingertips - just do a quick internet search and you'll find store after store dedicated to the 50's, 60's and other eras. Many even offer new reproductions if you want the look but not the dust.

If I were in my 20s, I'd probably be wearing vintage clothing, but because I'm a baby boomer, clothes of the 50s and 60s are what I grew up wearing, so I have a bit of a "been there, done that" attitude about them.
I do think some really elegant looks came out of the 40s, 50s and 60s, and I still enjoy looking at old photos of cool outfits I had.
I really don't wear much vintage but I get to see loads of it all the time. My wife has had a bricks and mortar store (celebrated 15 years on April Fools day!) and an Etsy store for quite awhile. The reto shows have certainly been a boon to her business as well as our mid-mod furniture and decor store!
