Black and White Mid Mod Style

Check out this awesome little desk and chair set on Craigslist Los Angeles.  I bet it's Cal Style Furniture.  It reminds me of the set I sold last year by Cal Style.   It has that same atomic styling with metal legs.

I just love these mod black and white designs of the 50's and 60's. 

 You don't see them too often.

Update: Modern Baby Nursery Purchases

I'm a planner.  Before I was even pregnant I had an idea of what the nursery would look like: a nice blend of contemporary with vintage, clean streamline white furniture, warm grey walls, and pops of color through bedding and decor.

I recently posted about modern baby cribs and featured some of my dream cribs. Well, I have accepted I cannot and will not spend $1000 on a crib.  I have settled on Baby Mod's Olivia set.  It's made by the same people that make Babyletto and other modern baby furniture but at a fraction of the price.  Love that!

Mid Century Brutalist Candelabra

My Mom and I hit some estate sales yesterday morning.  It's been months since I've been out due to my morning sickness!  I was so happy to be out there again.  Unfortunately the sales were dismal, but I still managed to pick up a couple cool items.

My favorite is this Brutalist candelabra.  They wanted $70 for it (yikes!) but I ended up getting it for $10. Of course the intent was to list it in my Etsy shop, but like many other things I buy, the moment I got it home it found its permanent place.  It's atop my Brasilia dresser in the entry and looks fantastic.
