Mystery Mid Century Lounge Chairs.

I picked up this pair of beauties last week and I need some help identifying them.  Any ideas?  No maker's mark.

I love a low sitting MCM lounge chair in general but these are unique because they are upholstered on areas of the frame, not just the cushions.  I love the orange fabric and they are in spectacular shape. They are chunkier in design than my own lounge chairs, which are more Danish Modern with their small statures and fine arms and peg legs.  I want to lean toward American made for this set but need some thoughts from my beloved and trusted followers.  Do they look inspired by any particular designer to you?

On a side note, it's Saturday and usually I'd be at an estate sale right now but I'm putting all my willpower to the test.  I really need to stay home today to refinish a customer order and ship two large furniture pieces that I sold on Etsy.   Plus, I have a garage full of things to refinish and items that need to be photographed and put on my Etsy site.  Ugh, it's so hard to say no and resist the sales. There were 2 great ones this morning too.  I'm trying to be responsible and less "hoardy".  I'd inevitably find something that I want to keep and would jam in my already filled-to-the-brim house.  You know how it goes right?

I can't help with the maker of these fantastic chairs, but I can tell you that if I lived even a little closer to you, I'd grab one of my sofa cushions and drive to your place to see if these chairs would work in my living room. I really think they would, but I'd hate to pay that much for them, plus pay shipping to Texas, only to find out they won't work. :(

I'm actually trying to decide if I want to ask my friend from Villa Park (in Orange County) to go look at them for me. The only problem is that he's unbelievably generous, and he'd probably buy them for me...and I don't want him to think I'm hinting for that.

Wow! You're serious huh! I just posted them on Craiglist this morning to see if there was any interest and I already have some emails. Crazy. Let me know what you decide!

They have a real Gunlocke look to them though I wasn't able to find a comparable with a quick Google shearch.

Interesting, could be! I've been researching but can't find anything similar.

Those are awesome chairs! I really need to get out of my house more and get to some resale shops and estate sales. Hey, btw, my Lane chest inspired me to redesign my blog. Swing on by and check it out! :)

Do you still have these? I just picked one up exactly like these and I am wondering about the bottom seat supports. Mine has a piece of metal holding the straps and three screws that you can see from the front
Thanks

Hi Brandi, no, these are long gone! I don't remember what the seat supports looked like on these. Sorry.
